Two bald eagles shot earlier this month in central Wisconsin have died

ANTIGO - Two bald eagles shot in central Wisconsin have died from their injuries, according to the founder of Raptor Education Group.
One eagle died Feb. 20 and the second a few days ago, Marge Gibson said.
"We could not stop the internal bleeding from the bullet wounds," Gibson said, referring to the first eagle to die.
Gibson said federal authorities are investigating the shootings and that she could not provide more details.
A Canada goose remained in critical condition and was not eating on its own, Gibson said. Volunteers are giving the goose high-protein liquid food and were giving it low levels of sedation to relax the bird for handling and hand feeding, Gibson said.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is investigating the treatment of the goose, which someone hit in the head and clipped its wing, Gibson said.
The DNR also is investigating the death of a trumpeter swan a snowmobile hit earlier this month in Portage County, Gibson said.
